In my opinion, maybe Rumah Bahasa made some mistakes before, but I still think it was better than International Language Centre (ILC). I’ve been told by my friend that when RB was closed it sold all its assets to foreigners with the terms and conditions that the new owner of RB still paid the salary of the old employees at the same rate. Actually, the new owner was quite good.
RB was not perfect. It made the mistake that some teachers were not provided with a KITAS (work visa); however some RB teachers did have one. In one major way, Rumah Bahasa was actually a victim of ILC, as ILC took all of the RB staff and promised to pay them much more than RB. This, I know for a fact, was the plan of a liar called Fachrul Wardiansyah. It was him who came up with the plan to destroy RB by inciting most of its staff to move to ILC. As you can appreciate, in the education business Human Resources are indispensable to the organization. Losing most of its teachers to ILC was the end of RB.
Whatever criticisms people want to say about RB, I really appreciate my experience there as a teacher. Now I am a BPK Teacher. BPK were really shocked when they heard that I had to prepare the material from different 10 books every day at ILC.

Kayanya Rumah Bahasa sekarang sudha berubah deh yang di gading , lebih nice tapi I prefer pengalaman sebelumnya dimana banyak guru expat , mereka semua friendly banget kemudian ownernya juga suka grasak grusuk tapi better than I learn and study in ILC MOI , Now I am not study anymore because of time , Itu foto Max ama Pascal guru RB pertama …. Dulu sempet di RB beberapa bulan dan sebenarnya tingkah Max bisa dibilang wajar dan nggak aneh2 tapi terpaksa pindah ke ILC karena pindah rumah ke daerah citraland di tahun berikutnya. MAx berubah dan tingkahnya alay, suka joget2 bahkan suka lebay. Pernah istrinya marah2 sama max di ILC dan Max nanggepinnya dengan alay juga. Pengen tahu umur Max ini sebenernya berapa? Kok kayak ababil aja tingkahnya??

Be Honest This Blog is really usefull for us to can looking the historical and the good ones and the bad ones about the language school organization.
About ILC , Today I just called my friend who worked there , that the salary already 6 months lates always , really make employee sometime difficult to work because of Transportation Expenses. I hope some information about ILC that can put in this blog and we can sharing together between ILC and the problem .

Rumah Bahasa memang better pass tutup aja masih bayar gaji pokok daripada ini si kusen , boro – boro bayar yang ada malahan nombok semuanya , Fachrul busuk tuh memang nyuruh semua orang kerja di perusahaan main – main kaya ILC , Parah.com banget , Palingan sekarang semua bekas pegawai RB yang ke ILC juga tau kalo RB mending dan lebih bagus berkali – kali lipat daripada ILC .
Moderator itu saya baca komennya Max , kayanya jijay banget ya. Bilang ga dapat gaji !!! Saya buka deh sekarang , Max itu dapat gaji semuanya pass dia resign dari RB , Seingat saya waktu itu dibayarin kok sama HRD RB yang masih bertugas which is Alm. Mba Gita. Max bilang Alm Mr. Frendy did not paid him ? Yakin ? Nanti ditanya loh pass di akhirat biar tau rasa di Max busukinah.
Max itu suka ngadu domba student sama RB dulu , jelek – jelekin RB padahal tingkah lakunya yang jelek juga , dia kan diangkat derajatnya di RB , emang siapa max sih dulu ? Modelnya gmana ? Dapat uang lahiran anak dari mana ? Bayar apartment dari mana ? Jangan sok deh kalo ngomong? ILC lebih bagus ? buktiin donk bayar saya 2 bulan 7 juta mana ? Gak usah pakek bonus deh gpp , tapi gapok dong !!!!!

Kayanya kalo compare antara RB dan ILC bagaikan bumi dan langit , walaupun gedung RB ga se wah ILC tapi jujur untuk kualitas pelajaran RB lebih bagus dan lebih professional , saya hampir ga pernah liat guru bisa ngerokok di gedung lotte gading , kalo ILC gila ke resto dalam mall aja guru berani ngrokok bahkan ada guru jilbab ngrokok pula ga muslimah banget deh , perusahaan ILC parah ga jaga kualitas , Front Desk apalagi ga proffesional banget , ILC oh ILC , Memang perusahaan abal – abal
ILC banyak anak2 yang nggak serius belajar. Nyesel ambil ILC dan tinggalkan RB, kurikulum ILC kacau bray

Max itu dulu GURU RB cuman karena aku denger RB ga mau naikin gaji dia dan RB nuntut dia sekolah lagi di kesustraan jerman di UNJ dia nolak karena dia merasa bahwa dia sudah pinter bahasa jerman sedangkan RB punya standard adalah Bachelor Degree tapi max kan memang lulusan SMA doang , RB mau sekolahin dia tapi dia ga mau , lalu dia nuntut naik gaji dan saat itu RB juga sedang mengalami goncangan gara – gara ILC Rakus ya udah deh kaya gitu jadinya , tapi memang dasarnya RB itu nuatnya bagus jadi walaupun tutup tapi ada aja yang mau akuisisi dan skr namanya global village yang terakhir aku ke sana … guru – guru beberapa masih guru guru lama , ILC liat aja gw udah ogah !!
Jijik banget si Max, udah disekolahin dan mau dibiayain sama RB nggak tahu terima kasih. Jadi dia lulusan SMA toh? Kirain udah bachelor, katanya dia udah bachelor soalnya
Gak kok , waktu dia resign kan aku pernah denger Owner RB teriak teriak di ruangan samping ruang korea , ngamuk – ngamuk sama GM Teacher gara2 Max tuh … Owner sayang juga sama dia tapi ternyata dia lebih memilih ILC Kayanya. Lagaknya ketinggian dia , memang liat aja deh masa depan dia di ILC kaya gmana !!!
Kan dulu max di GLC juga, tuh di GLC keluar katanya karena nipu sekian juta. Di post sebelah ada max komentar ngakunya nggak digaji lah apa lah bahkan kabarnya di ILC ngehamilin cewek, Ish, udah punya istri masih bertingkah. JIJIk
Memang Max gembel , Kayanya RB better deh daripada ILC , Tadi saya baru ketemu mas Iyan dulu sales RB yang Pindah ke ILC saya tanya sama dia apa masih di ILC ? Dia bilang ga di ILC soalnya gaji dan komisinya ga dibayar sama Boss ILC , Baru tadi pagi saya ketemu sama dia ga sengaja , mungkin yang ada ILC kali gaji komisi dan semuanya ga dibayar , denger2 Owner ILC itu jahat dia kepengen bunuh dan hancurin owner RB tapi ILC gagal soalnya RB masih buka cuman ganti nama karena owner sudah beda ya.
Seriusan? Kok bisa ya mau bunuh owner RB. Ada dendam apa sih slelain pengen hancurin bisnis 😮

I was working at the opening of RB in Lotte Kelapa Gading, I was in fact their first teacher (my photo is actually on your article and I would love to see this relic gone forever), the whole thing was wrong from the start and it was Frendy’s fault. He told all staff during the first few weeks or “training” and pre-sales that he got all thing covered that he would get a lot of trained bules to teach, that the curriculum was getting prepared by trained-linguist. It all came down when 2 months from the tentative opening date, he confessed to me that he didn’t know how to write a curriculum for french and he wanted me to start with this one as it was my mothertongue Truth is, he never had anything in control, with the exception of sales. After finally recruiting, few willing teachers (local and expat), we started to write a method that could help to start giving the basic of our own languages to total beginner. It may have been clumsy but at least we didn’t totally looked like fools in front of students that paid to actually learn.
Frendy’s idea was to have “good-looking” expat teacher that would be easy on the eye of potential students and I guess as well as for himself (cuci mata). Teachers were always on their own to develop and I took upon myself to try break down their work by giving some insight on what could be done with our students. I think we made it work someone, at least for sometime. The work environment was horrible, from Frendy’s abuse to staff, verbal mostly. Teachers also had to justify some of the company’s flaw on behalf of Frendy. I had students entering my class already in despair as they felt betrayed between what has been promised by the consultants (instructed by Fenty or Frendy) such as international certification, professionally trained teachers,…
RB was never going to survive even if the teachers didn’t leave to go elsewhere, Frendy expanded his house of cards so quickly that money was already drying out within the 1st year. I left within a year of working there, after being harassed verbally and via email by Frendy Horas, and I’ve never looked back.

He still paid salary until RB is closed and change the name , He still give more attention to the student there , As I know you got your job at this moment because the experience as sales too in RB. You more understanding about sales from RB.
At least Mr. Frendy solve all of the problem sampai titik darah penghabisan , saat ini silahkan apa yang anda katakan silahkan tetapi sebagai guru yang berjuang sampai RB Tutup , kami semua memahami siapa yang lebih baik antara Rumah Bahasa dan tempat les lainnya.

Hi Wanda, I worked long enough to see how it would go down. Frendy was a rich kid not knowing what to do with his money and I assume he got used by people working for him that used the concept and started to abuse the trust of a lot of Indonesian families. It was never perfect and never any company will be. I dont what were/are your ties with him and why you would stand up for him when he literally lied to so many people. After reading stories about other multi-languages scam, RB seemed like the better one. I had my difference with Frendy and after he abused his position and repeatedly threaten me to give my name to immigration to get deported, I have no thanks for this kind of behavior. He may not be the worst but he was never who he pretended to be.
I dont know who you are but if you said you worked with him for longer than I did, how come you want to dig in his personal history, don’t you know who he is? What was your position in RB? maybe you were one of the sales consultant there, no sales would defend Frendy when he made you tell lie to sell his scam?
