English teachers deported to UK, U.S.
BOGOR: An American and a British citizen were deported to their home countries Wednesday after they were found to have violated their visa conditions.
Bogor Immigration Office head Ibrahim Saleh said the two were caught while teaching at an English school in Bogor on May 29.
“”They were here on business visas, not working visas,”” he told reporters.
Deborah Sue Crawley, 58, from the United States, entered Indonesia on April 29, while Andrew Raymond Chappell, 52, arrived on Feb. 8.
According to the immigration office, Crawley was living in a house on Jl. Gatot Kaca in Bogor’s Indraprasta subdistrict. Chappell also lived in the area on Jl. Arzimar.
Both were working as teachers at The British Institute on Jl. Padjajaran.
